Nepal Tourism Department Embraces Digital Future with Major Reforms 🇳🇵

Kathmandu, Nepal - The Department of Tourism is actively working to modernize its services, with a clear focus on creating a technology-friendly and business-friendly environment for the tourism sector. A recently published annual report highlights the department's new strategic direction aimed at simplifying procedures, enhancing systems, and integrating technology.

Dr. Narayan Prasad Regmi, the Director General of the Department, stated that these efforts are designed to make the department's operations more accessible and efficient for everyone involved. He also noted that key policy-level reforms are underway to bring Nepal's tourism practices in line with international standards.

These changes are expected to have a significant impact on the industry's economic potential. Dr. Regmi emphasized that a stronger tourism sector would lead to the creation of more employment and self-employment opportunities, ultimately resulting in higher-quality tourism and a more robust hospitality industry.

The department is also advancing additional plans for the development of tourist infrastructure, quality hospitality service management, and the promotion and management of adventure and mountaineering tourism.
