Kathmandu - Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has said that Nepal is always committed to the one-China policy.
Addressing the Fourth China-Nepal Media Summit on Thursday, Minister Kharel reiterated that Nepal and China have enjoyed a friendly relationship for long.
Minister Kharel appreciated the continued support from the government of China for Nepal's development and goodwill.
He stated that China has extended remarkable assistance for Nepal's infrastructure development.
"China is Nepal's friendly neighbour for long. China has made contributions to Nepal's infrastructure development, economic development, health care, tourism, culture and development and promotion of cultural heritages," Minister Kharel added.
Organized by South Asia Television Network and Nepal China Media Forum, the Summit focused on the issues of collaboration and cooperation between Nepali and Chinese media fraternity, RSS news agency reported.
Nepal and China established formal diplomatic relationship on 1st August 1955.
