Krishna Avanti Schools named in top 5% of primary schools in England

London - Two Hindu faith schools in Harrow, run by Avanti Schools Trust, have been ranked among the best in the borough – and the country – in newly updated Department for Education league tables.

Avanti House Secondary School has taken the top spot in Harrow across all key performance measures. It also ranks 211th out of 6,579 schools in England for Attainment 8, placing it in the top 3% nationwide. Attainment 8 is the score that shows how well pupils perform across eight key GCSE subjects. A higher score means pupils are achieving stronger results overall.

Krishna Avanti Primary School has also performed exceptionally well, continuing its reputation as one of Harrow’s strongest schools. It sits in the top 5% of primary schools nationally, based on the percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard in reading, writing and maths. The school achieved 92%, putting it ahead of many others in the borough, Harrow Online reported.

Avanti Schools Trust says the results reflect the emphasis placed on both academic achievement and personal development.

Famida Rawoot, Trust Education Lead at Avanti Schools Trust, said: “Our schools prove each year that exceptional outcomes are possible when academic excellence is combined with strong values and personal growth.”

“These rankings affirm our belief that education must nourish both mind and heart. We are incredibly proud of our students and staff, whose relentless effort and shared purpose continue to raise the standard not just for Harrow, but nationally.

“These remarkable achievements reflect Avanti Schools Trust’s ongoing mission to provide transformative education rooted in academic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth, enabling every learner to reach their full potential,” she said.

Avanti Schools Trust is the sponsor of state-funded Hindu Faith Schools in Harrow.  Krishna Avanti Primary School was opened in Harrow in February 2010.  The organisation has since opened additional Hindu faith schools, with more schools planned for development. Admission to schools is open to students having a Hindu faith background as well as students of other faiths.

The I-Foundation (also known as ISKCON Foundation) is a religious charity in England and Wales governing schools run by the Avanti Schools Trust.
