KATHMANDU — On the tenth anniversary of the promulgation of Nepal's constitution, September 19, 2025, foreign leaders and diplomatic missions have released official statements underscoring their commitment to Nepal's democratic and developmental progress. The U.S. State Department, under Secretary Antony Blinken, issued a formal statement congratulating Nepal and its people. The communication reiterated U.S. support for a transparent government guided by the constitution and highlighted mutual objectives in fostering economic growth, regional security, and overall prosperity. The statement also acknowledged the pivotal role of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Compact in advancing Nepal's infrastructure and job creation, thereby strengthening the partnership between the two nations.
