Hunt Intensifies as Two Prisoners Vanish from Aylesbury Open Jail

AYLESBURY – Thames Valley Police have launched an urgent appeal to the public as two men remain at large after absconding from HMP Spring Hill, an open prison near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, just hours apart. The force has issued a stark warning: do not approach either individual if sighted, but instead immediately contact emergency services.

Kieron Nickels, 25, who was serving a sentence for aggravated burglary, was discovered missing from the facility at approximately 11:30 PM BST on Monday, July 21. He is described as being of slim build, around 5ft 10in (1.7m) tall, and has a distinctive tattoo of animals and butterflies on his right arm. Nickels is believed to have connections to the Romford and Dagenham areas of London. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, a cap, and white trainers.

The second absconder, Anton Newell, 36, left the same prison sometime between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM on Tuesday, July 22. Newell, originally from Isleworth, west London, is approximately 6ft (1.8m) tall with short brown hair, brown eyes, and a thin build. He has several distinguishing marks, including a "C" shaped scar on his left cheek, a scar on his neck, another on his right wrist, and a prominent tattoo of two guns on his right shoulder. His known links extend to the Islington area, Merseyside, and the West Midlands.
