Virginia, US - In a tragic incident, four Nepalis, including two children, have been found dead in their home in Manassas Park, Virginia.
The Manassas Park police are investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide, US media reports said.
The 2-year-old boy, 8-year-old girl and two adults in their 30s were found dead after their landlord requested that police conduct a welfare check on the tenants in his downstairs apartment, police said on 6th June.
“They were: Santosh Pariyar, 38; Anju Shrestha, 36; and the children, whose names were not released by police,” reports said.
“At this time, it appears that this may have been a murder-suicide incident,” Manassas Park police said in a brief statement.
Police did not immediately say who they believed was the shooter.
“Officers were called to the downstairs apartment in the 9400 block of Lanae Lane at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday after the landlord grew concerned about them. All four people were dead of apparent gunshot wounds, police said. A gun was recovered on the scene,” www.nbcwashington.com reported.
Neighbours told local media that victims were a family who moved into the neighborhood about six months ago and were from Nepal. They lived on the ground floor.
