London – The well-known retailer Aldi became the cheapest Supermarket in the UK in November 2025, reports said.
According to www.which.co.uk -a comparison website, a shopping list of 70 items cost an average £121.22 in November at Aldi.
Lidl, which was the cheapest supermarket in October, came in second place last month. The shopping list of 70 items cost an average £122.35 in November for members of its loyalty scheme, or £122.40 for non-members.
Asda came in third with the items costing £133.59, followed by Tesco at £133.65 with Clubcard and £136.20 without a Clubcard.
For those using Sainsbury’s Nectar card, the basket of items cost an average £137.77. Without a Nectar card, the same items at Sainsbury’s would have totalled £141.62.
Waitrose was the most expensive supermarket in November with the shopping list costing £166.79, £45.57 more expensive than at Aldi.
Which?'s monthly analysis involves comparing the average price of a shop consisting of popular groceries at eight of the UK’s biggest supermarkets.
The list of 70 items included branded and non-branded products, such as Birds Eye Peas, Hovis bread, milk and butter.
For a longer shopping list of 183 items, Asda remained the cheapest supermarket, with this group of products costing an average £455.52 in November.
That was £9.71 cheaper on average than the same shopping list bought at Tesco with a Clubcard, which cost £465.23, reports said.
